MAP - smoked trout fillets packed in modified atmosphere

In the autumn of 2003 Danforel has invested in more packaging capability to meet the increased demand for MAP trout fillets. Hence, the MAP capacity has reached approx. 40.000 units per day.

By the end of 2003 nearly half of Danforel’s production has changed from vacuum to MAP and before summer 2004 the MAP percentage is expected to exceed 90%.

New packing method for smoked trout

In 2002 we introduced MAP trout as a premium product on the Danish market.

MAP means "Modified Atmosphere Packing" and is a careful and natural method of preservation, which optimizes the shelf life of the product. The advantage of MAP is that the products' shape, colour, vitamins and aroma are retained.


A new filleting machine at Danforel A/S increases the slaughter capacity

In our effort to improve our efficiency and our production capacity, we have installed a new filleting machine from Baader. With the increased slaughter and filleting capacity we have exceeded all our earlier production records.
